The US government cut off the funding of Radio Azadi and sent VOA employees on compulsory leave

According to Donald Trump’s executive order, the US government has sent the employees of the state media, including the Voice of America (VOA), on mandatory paid leave until further notice.

According to Reuters, in addition to this, the funding of Radio Free Europe (RFE/RL) has also been cut by the US government.

Trump and his allies have accused VOA of anti-conservative bias and consider the media an additional burden on American taxpayers.
