Bolton :Trump does not recognize America’s friend and foe
Former White House National Security Adviser John Bolton, just a few hours after the United States voted against the UN resolution against Russia on the third anniversary of the Ukraine war, in an interview with CNN, described this vote as aligning with what he called the main and permanent threat against NATO.
Referring to Russia, Bolton said that we have sided with NATO’s main enemy in this vote; It is unimaginable that a president can do such a thing.
In last night’s vote in the UN General Assembly, 17 other countries also voted against the resolution condemning Russia; This vote was after recent developments and the beginning of negotiations between the United States and Russia, from which Washington has excluded Ukraine and its European allies.
The Trump administration has also refused to call Russia an aggressor, unlike the previous approach.
Asked whether Trump’s refusal to call Putin a dictator is a negotiating ploy, Bolton said his defenders say everything he says is a negotiating ploy, including when he goes against his word.
