At least seven people died during a religious ceremony in India

At least seven people have been killed and 10 others injured in the Maha Kumba festival, which is attended by millions of people, Indian officials say.

According to Reuters, this event took place on Wednesday (29th of January) in the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India, and these people died due to crowding.

According to the Indian authorities, a rapid action force known as RAIF, a special unit that is called in times of crisis in this country, has been deployed to control the situation and rescue efforts are underway.
