Remains of ancient ship nearly 4,700 years old discovered off Turkish coast

Archaeologists have identified the remains of an ancient ship estimated to be 4,400 to 4,700 years old in the coastal waters of Kekova Island near Antalya Province in southern Turkey.

Based on published reports, if the researchers’ hypotheses are confirmed, this ship could be known as the oldest identified shipwreck in the world.

However, the age and position of this ship among the oldest sunken ships in the world requires further scientific investigation and confirmation.
