Norway provides $9.2 billion in financial aid to Ukraine

The Norwegian government has announced that it will provide financial assistance to Ukraine of 85 billion kroner, equivalent to about $9.2 billion, in the 2027 fiscal year.

Based on the announcement by the Norwegian government, the amount of this aid in 2027 will be equal to the financial assistance allocated to Ukraine in 2026.

The announcement coincided with a visit to Kiev by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gaard Storting, along with a number of leaders from the Nordic and Baltic countries. The delegation emphasized its support for Ukraine in its war with Russia.

The war between Russia and Ukraine is approaching four and a half years, with both sides increasing their drone attacks and targeting each other’s economic facilities and infrastructure, even in areas far from the battle lines.
