Pezzekian: If America stops seeking totalitarianism, the path to agreement is open

Iranian President Masoud Pezzekian said in a statement after the failure of the negotiations that if the US government stops seeking totalitarianism and respects the rights of the Iranian people, ways will definitely be found to reach an agreement.

He added that I wish strength to the members of the negotiating team, especially my dear brother, Dr. Qalibaf.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi also wrote on the X social media page that after 47 years, Iran entered into talks with the United States in full good faith to end the war in intensive negotiations at the highest level.

Araqchi continued, “But just when we were just a few steps away from the Islamabad Memorandum, we were faced with the maximalism of constantly shifting red lines and imposing blockades.”

He emphasized that no lessons have been learned from the past: goodness begets goodness, and enmity begets enmity.
