After the American side made excessive demands and failed to reach an agreement, the US negotiating team, led by US Vice President Jed Vance, left Islamabad.
Jed Vance said in a statement that we negotiated for several hours, but we have not yet reached an agreement that is satisfactory to both parties.
He added that we have not yet reached an agreement that is acceptable to the Iranian side; Iran’s nuclear facilities were destroyed, but the Iranian side did not commit to stopping its program.
The US Vice President emphasized that we need to see a stronger emphasis that Iran will not seek to obtain a nuclear weapon.
Vance: He said negotiations with Iran lasted 21 hours and Iran did not accept the US conditions. We will return to Washington without reaching an agreement with the Iranian side.
