Lavrov: Russia will try to make it impossible to carry out operations against Iran

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made clear statements that Russia, together with its partners, will strive to create an atmosphere that makes any military operation against Iran impossible.

Expressing sympathy for the civilian casualties in the Middle East crisis, he emphasized that this crisis will have far-reaching consequences for the entire world and the global economy.

Lavrov added that there are also serious disagreements within the United States about the real goals of the operation against Iran.

The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that one of the main goals of the US and Israeli operations against Iran is to create discord and division among Middle Eastern countries, and that the West is acting on the principle of “divide and rule.”

He accused the West of doing everything it could to prevent the advancement of a positive agenda in the Middle East.

Lavrov warned that NATO is now being dragged into war against Iran, and that the European Union has even surpassed NATO in terms of the tone of its positions and tendency towards militarization, and is acting just as stubbornly and persistently
