Reuters reported on Wednesday morning (March 4, 2026) citing informed sources that the US Department of War (Pentagon) has prepared and sent to the government a request for additional funding worth $50 billion to compensate for ammunition and weapons used in military operations against Iran.
This request comes at a time when America’s stockpiles of precision missiles and munitions have been severely depleted due to the high volume of recent attacks, and producing replacements is time-consuming and costly.
Reuters added that the White House is simultaneously pressuring military companies and war contractors to urgently increase production capacity, warning that any failure to do so will face sanctions and contract termination.
This action reflects the Pentagon’s extreme concern about ammunition shortages if the conflicts with Iran and the Resistance Front continue.
