The Greek government officially announced its intention to send a special military battalion consisting of 100 to 150 armored vehicles, doctors, and engineers to the Gaza Strip to assist in security and the distribution of humanitarian aid within the framework of the international “Stabilization” force.
According to the Palestinian news agency “Ma’a”, the exact date of the deployment is not yet known, but a Greek military delegation is currently stationed in the Kiryat Gat area in southern occupied Palestine and is awaiting final coordination with the operation commanders.
This action is being taken in line with the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2803, passed last November, which approved the establishment of a multinational force in Gaza, with the support of the United States, and is to be implemented with the participation of Egypt, Israel, and some neighboring countries.
It is worth noting that Indonesia had previously announced its readiness to send troops to Gaza.
In response to these developments, the Hamas movement announced that it did not oppose the deployment of international forces, provided that these forces only played the role of separating the parties and did not interfere in the internal affairs of the Palestinians.
