Reuters :Iran-US talks to be held in Geneva on Tuesday

Reuters news agency reported, citing an informed source, that a US delegation consisting of Trump’s special envoy Steve Whitaker and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will meet with Iranian officials in Geneva, Switzerland, on Tuesday.

According to the report, two separate rounds of diplomatic talks are planned in Geneva, one on Iran issues and the other on the Ukraine-Russia war.

The American delegation will participate in trilateral talks with the Iranian side on Tuesday morning and with representatives of Russia and Ukraine that afternoon.

Omani representatives will also be present as mediators in the Iranian round of negotiations.

Reuters did not disclose further details, including the exact location of the meeting in Geneva, the names of the Iranian officials present, the exact focus of the talks, or the expected outcomes.

As of the time of publication, no official Iranian source has confirmed or denied this report.

The previous round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States was held on February 8 in Muscat, the capital of Oman, with the mediation of Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi.
