US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News about the status of negotiations with Iran: “Iran is negotiating with us and we’ll see if we can do something. Otherwise, we’ll see what happens.”
“The last time they negotiated, we had to eliminate their nuclear weapons. You know, that didn’t work. Then we eliminated them in another way and we’ll see what happens,” he added.
Trump also emphasized that he could not share the details of his plan with allies in the Gulf states, saying, “If I told them the plan, it would be almost as bad as telling you the plan. In fact, it could be worse.”
These statements come as regional tensions between Iran and the United States continue and speculation has increased about the possibility of negotiations or escalation of military action.
