Deputy Economic Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate arrives in Herat to meet with a high-level delegation of Turkmenistan

The media office of the provincial governor of Herat announced that Maulvi Abdul Kabir, the economic deputy of the prime minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has arrived in the province at the head of a high-level delegation.

According to the office, the purpose of this trip is to meet and discuss with a high-ranking delegation from Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Prime Minister Rashid Meredov.

During the bilateral meeting, the sides will discuss the progress of the TAPI gas pipeline project and the expansion of transit trade and economic cooperation between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.

This meeting takes place at a time when both countries emphasize strengthening economic and transit relations as a common priority, and the TAPI and electricity transmission projects are considered among the most important regional projects.
