The United States approved the sale of $15.67 billion worth of arms to the Zionist regime and Saudi Arabia

The US State Department has approved the sale of new arms packages worth $6.67 billion to the Zionist regime of Israel and $9 billion to Saudi Arabia.

This decision was announced at a time when regional tensions are rising due to the possibility of US military action against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The sale to Saudi Arabia includes 730 Patriot missiles and related equipment, which the US State Department said would enhance the security of a key non-NATO ally, protect Saudi-American ground forces and local allies, and significantly enhance Riyadh’s role in the region’s integrated air defense system.

The arms sale to the Israeli regime is also in four separate packages, including 30 Apache attack helicopters with related equipment and weapons, as well as 3,250 light tactical vehicles.

The deals were announced after Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman met with senior Trump administration officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegsett.

Gregory Meeks, the top Democrat on the House Foreign Relations Committee, strongly criticized the move, saying that the Trump administration had rushed to announce the sales and ignored congressional oversight and years of procedures.

He emphasized that the administration has refused to engage with Congress on the vital issues of Gaza and overall US policy toward Israel.

The arms sale comes as Washington has deployed more troops to the Middle East and both the US and Iran have warned of any possible military action.
