Turkish newspaper claims Trump has agreed to a trilateral meeting between Iran, the US and Turkey in Ankara
A Turkish newspaper claimed that US President Donald Trump has agreed to hold a trilateral meeting in Ankara with representatives from Iran, the US and Turkey.
According to this report, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced his full readiness to host Donald Trump and Masoud Pezzekian and has suggested that such a meeting be held in the Turkish capital.
It has also been claimed that Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi will travel to Ankara in the coming days to follow up on possible preparations for this meeting or related consultations.
So far, no official confirmation has been released from the White House, the Iranian presidential office, or the Turkish Foreign Ministry regarding this claim, and some analysts consider it part of media speculation in the atmosphere of ongoing tensions between Washington and Tehran.
In recent months, Türkiye has repeatedly announced its readiness to mediate and host talks related to reducing regional tensions.
