Afghan Ambassador to Doha Meets with UN Special Representative for Children

Mohammad Suhail Shaheen, the Afghan Ambassador to Qatar, met and discussed with Dawood Al-Masri, Head of the Center for Analysis and Public Awareness in the Office of the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict.

According to the Afghan Embassy in Doha, the meeting, which took place in Qatar, focused on the issue of protecting children in conflict situations.

The parties discussed and exchanged views on the measures taken by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the field of child protection, especially mine clearance programs, clearing mines left over from the war, and other related issues.

The Afghan embassy stressed that the talks are part of diplomatic efforts to strengthen cooperation with UN agencies in the humanitarian fields and support for Afghan children
