Araqchi to Trump: All your options have failed, now try respect
In a direct message to US President Donald Trump, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi emphasized that all of America’s hostile approaches against Iran have failed and now is the time to change the approach to mutual respect.
“While Iranians mourn their lost loved ones and rebuild what terrorists destroyed, another threat now looms on the horizon: the ultimate failure of diplomacy,” Araghchi said in the newly released remarks.
He added: “A full-scale confrontation would undoubtedly be destructive, violent, and much longer than the fanciful timelines that Israel and its allies are trying to instill in the White House.”
Iran’s foreign minister expressed Tehran’s clear message to Washington: “The United States has tried every conceivable hostile measure, from sweeping sanctions and cyberattacks to direct military attack, and most recently, openly fueling a major terrorist operation, and all of these have failed. It’s time to think differently. Try respect.”
These remarks come at a time when tensions between Iran and the United States over regional issues, the nuclear program, and recent attacks remain high, and diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions have so far yielded no tangible results.
