Afghanistan Special Trust Fund announces $6.4 million in Swedish aid
The Afghanistan Trust Fund (AFS) announced that Sweden has provided a contribution of $6.4 million to the fund.
The organization stated in a newsletter published on its X page that this aid is equivalent to 60 million Swedish kronor.
According to the country’s Special Trust Fund, this financial assistance will help increase essential economic and climate resilience services for communities affected by displacement, and will be used to support families in need and strengthen resilience in the face of economic challenges and climate change.
It is worth noting that not long ago, the fund announced the receipt of 2.4 million euros in aid from Italy.
This international assistance is being provided in a context where the Afghanistan Special Trust Fund, as one of the important mechanisms for providing humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan, plays a key role in meeting the basic needs of the people of this country.
