In response to recent statements by American officials regarding the country’s internal developments, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran described these positions as “interventionist” and “deceptive,” and considered them a continuation of Washington’s policy of maximum pressure against the Iranian nation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Public Relations Department announced in a statement that the United States has targeted the security and livelihoods of the Iranian people by using the threat of psychological warfare and economic sanctions.
The ministry emphasized that Iran recognizes the peaceful protests of the people, but insists on resolutely confronting foreign interference and preserving its national sovereignty.
