Kim Jong-un visits North Korea’s secret underwater weapons projects

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited naval weapons research and design centers to learn about the progress of new secret underwater weapons projects and issued strategic instructions for the fundamental reconstruction of the country’s navy.

He also visited the construction site of a nuclear submarine with a displacement of about 8,700 tons that will be equipped with strategic guided missiles and received a full report on the progress of this project.

Kim Jong-un stressed that the structure of the North Korean navy should be fundamentally restructured with a focus on advanced technologies, including underwater tactical nuclear weapons and unmanned systems.

These measures are being taken to strengthen North Korea’s naval defense capabilities
