Iranian President Massoud Pezzekian announced that his country will spare no effort to strengthen relations with Afghanistan, especially along the two countries’ common border.
The statement was made during a visit by doctors to South Khorasan province, which shares a border with Afghanistan, and he ordered the governor of the province to take practical steps to expand bilateral relations.
The Iranian President emphasized the importance of border trade and security cooperation with Afghanistan, considering it to be in line with the common interests of the two neighboring nations.
This stance comes at a time when relations between Iran and Afghanistan are expanding following recent political changes in Kabul.
