The Israeli regime claims to have assassinated Raed Saad, the senior commander of Al-Qassam in Gaza

The Israeli army claimed that Raed Saad, a senior commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas and said to be the second most important figure after Izz al-Din al-Haddad, was assassinated in a drone strike in Gaza City.

According to a report by Israeli Channel 12 TV and the Israel Hayom newspaper, citing a security source, the operation was carried out without any prior coordination with Washington.

The occupying army released a video of the moment Raed Saad’s car was targeted, showing a massive explosion.

So far, no official from the Hamas movement has confirmed or denied the veracity of this claim, but sources affiliated with Hamas have described this action as a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement and a unilateral withdrawal of the Israeli regime from it.

This assassination occurs while indirect negotiations to extend the ceasefire in Gaza are ongoing.
