High-level Uzbek delegation arrives in Kabul, focusing on expanding agricultural cooperation and increasing bilateral trade
The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock announced that a high-level Uzbek delegation consisting of government officials and private sector representatives arrived in Kabul to explore areas of technical cooperation to increase trade in agricultural products and strengthen bilateral relations.
According to the ministry, the delegation is led by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, and its members will meet with officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock and private sector activists in the coming days.
The main agenda of these meetings includes the exchange of experiences in the fields of modern cultivation, irrigation, packaging and export, pest control, and the development of the value chain of agricultural and livestock products.
The Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that this trip could lead to a significant increase in Afghanistan’s exports of fresh fruits, dried fruits, cotton, and livestock products to the markets of Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries.
