Islamic Emirate strongly condemns drone attack in Khatlan, Tajikistan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemned the drone attack on three Chinese employees of a company in Khatlan province of Tajikistan on Thursday, which resulted in their deaths, and expressed its sympathy to the government and people of China and Tajikistan.

The Islamic Emirate emphasized that this attack was carried out by circles whose goal is to create instability and distrust among regional countries.

In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured the Tajik government that it is fully prepared to exchange information and conduct a joint assessment to identify the real perpetrators of this incident.

The Tajik government said on Monday that a drone carrying grenades and firearms had been launched from Afghanistan and targeted three Chinese employees.

The Tajik Foreign Ministry attributed the attack to “criminal groups” operating in Afghanistan and called on the Islamic Emirate to take effective measures to ensure border security.
