Bodies of 8 Afghan migrants killed in Iranian road accident transported to Ghazni

The Ghazni Provincial Police Headquarters announced that the bodies of eight Afghan citizens who died in a fatal traffic accident a few days ago in the Khash region of Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province were transferred to the Ajrestan district of the province yesterday, Thursday, November 21.

According to the published press release, these eight people, along with six other residents of Langarkhel village in Ajrestan district, had illegally traveled to Iran when the vehicle carrying them overturned on the way to Khash.

As a result of the incident, eight people died on the spot and six others were seriously injured.

Following the immediate follow-up of the Afghan Consulate in Zahedan, the bodies of the dead and injured in this incident were transferred to the country through the Milk border after completing legal procedures and were handed over to their families in Ajrestan district.

The funeral and burial ceremony of these eight victims was held this morning in the village of Langarkhel, attended by local officials, scholars, and hundreds of people.
