Grossi: Iran’s nuclear material cache has not been moved and remains in the same location as before
Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, announced at a press conference on Tuesday 18 November that, based on available information and reports received from Iran, the country’s nuclear material reserves have not been moved before and after the June clashes and have remained in the same locations.
Referring to the draft resolution that is to be considered by the Board of Governors, Grossi said that the Western parties did not consult him before drafting it, and emphasized that “we will never ask the Board of Governors to issue a resolution.”
He also announced that consultations with Iran are continuing to fully return inspection activities to normal, adding: “Some progress has been made and I confirm that the organization’s inspectors have returned to Iran.”
Grossi concluded by expressing hope that the organization will be able to provide accurate and good reports on Iran’s nuclear program in the future.
