Pakistani Taliban claims responsibility for Islamabad suicide attack
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s blast at the 11-G judicial complex in the capital, in an official statement.
In the statement, the TTP claimed that a suicide bomber from the group carried out the attack inside the judicial complex, targeting judges, lawyers and employees who work “according to un-Islamic laws.”
The group also warned that attacks against those it believes are “implementing or supporting un-Islamic laws in Pakistan” will continue.
The blast, described as a failed suicide attack, has raised concerns about the intensification of TTP activities in the heart of the Pakistani capital, and Pakistani authorities have launched a wide-ranging investigation to counter the threat.
