Winners of the 2025 Analog Photography Contest Announced; From the North Pole to Gotham
In a world dominated by digital and instant photography, the >>Analog Sparks 2025 competition has once again showcased the beauty of depth and the unique artistry of analog photography.
The winners of this competition were selected from nearly 2,000 photos submitted from more than 60 countries around the world, and a cinematic and impactful photo won the grand prize.
Hungarian photographer Péter Vérsiks has been named Sparks Analog Photographer of the Year for his stunning image of the “ghosts” of Pennenhuis, which depicts an elderly man and a young child in an empty Brussels metro station.
The competition, which accepts instant black and white, color, and alternative techniques photographs, announced gold, silver, and bronze winners in eight main categories and subcategories, and awarded them group exhibitions in Europe.
Winners were honored with prizes ranging from $100 to $500, cash, certificates of honor, and extensive promotion on the competition’s website and social media, cementing the event as a bridge to the revival of film photography in the digital age.
