Unidentified drones spotted near military bases: Denmark: Serious hybrid attack on critical infrastructure
The Danish military announced that last night, Friday unidentified drones were spotted near several military bases in the country, including the main Karup base, which is home to F-16 and F-35 fighter jets.
The incident, confirmed by Danish police, led to increased security measures and a joint investigation with the armed forces, but the drones were not shot down due to safety risks in populated areas.
This incident comes a few days after unidentified drones entered the airspace of Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) causing its temporary closure and several other airports, including Aalborg and Billund.
Aalborg, which is used for both commercial and military flights, was closed twice this week and drones were seen in the sky for hours.
Drones have also been reported near the Skreez Destrapp Holstborough bases and other military installations.
