Pakistani Special Representative Meets with Russian Ambassador on Military Groups Based in Afghanistan
Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq met with Russian Ambassador to Islamabad Albert Khorf to discuss regional security and geopolitical developments.
During the meeting, the Pakistani representative raised his concerns about the presence of international and regional militant groups in the country, and both sides reaffirmed their commitment to confronting these challenges through closer cooperation.
The two diplomats also reviewed preparations for the quadrilateral meeting of the special representatives of Pakistan, Russia, China and Iran and the 7th Moscow Consultative Meeting on Afghanistan, which is scheduled to be held in Moscow in the first week of October.
This is while the Islamic Emirate denies the presence of militant groups in the country and emphasizes complete control over Afghanistan’s security.
