More than 3,000 cancer patients visit Abu Ali Sina Hospital in Balkhi, Mazar-e-Sharif

Officials from the Balkh Provincial Public Health Department announced that since the beginning of the Islamic calendar year 2025 more than 3,000 patients with cancer have visited the Abu Ali Sinai Hospital in Balkhi in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, of which 325 new cases have been registered.

According to officials, the number of infected women is higher than that of men.

Doctors at the hospital emphasized that most of these patients are receiving treatment within the country and efforts to improve health services are ongoing.

These statistics indicate an increase in cancer cases in the north of the country, highlighting the need for greater support from the health sector.
