Pakistan’s Defense Minister: Time has come to form Islamic NATO

Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, emphasizing that the recent Israeli aggression against Qatar would not have been possible without the prior consent of the United States, announced that the time has come to form a NATO-style military alliance among Islamic countries and that Muslims must identify hidden enemies.

In his remarks in the National Assembly of Pakistan and in interviews with international media outlets such as Al Jazeera, Asif added that public opinion in the Western world has changed and even in the United States, opposition to Israel has reached a dangerous level.

Referring to America’s role in supporting Israel, including providing intelligence and covert intelligence, he warned that the Islamic world is militarily vulnerable and needs urgent unity.

The Pakistani defense minister also criticized the policies of appeasement with Israel, calling it a “grave mistake,” arguing that leniency with Tel Aviv does not guarantee security.

He called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to immediately convene a meeting to formulate a joint strategy against Israel.
