Iran, Pakistan, Russia, and China hold a meeting about Afghanistan

On the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) consultative meeting in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, a special meeting of the Quartet consisting of Iran, Pakistan, Russia, and China was held, focusing on Afghan issues.

The meeting, which is part of regional efforts to manage security and economic challenges related to Afghanistan, emphasizes strengthening joint cooperation among the four countries.

According to media reports, the quadrilateral group – which has been active since 2020 – serves as a mechanism for coordinating regional policies towards the country’s situation.
