Trump: Intensive Negotiations with Hamas for Freedmen Hostages in the Stor

US President Donald Trump announced to reporters at the White House on Friday (September 5, 2025) that his administration is conducting very deep negotiations with the Islamic resistance movement Hamas to release all Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip.

He stated: “If Hamas releases the hostages, much better things will happen for them, but if they do not do so, a very difficult and difficult situation will arise.”

Referring to the widespread protests in Israel demanding the release of the hostages, Trump acknowledged that these protests have put the Tel Aviv government in a difficult position.

He emphasized that the final decision in this matter rests with the Israeli regime, but warned that failure to release the hostages would have serious consequences.

According to reports, of the more than 250 hostages kidnapped by Hamas in the October 2023 attack, about 50 are still being held captive, 20 of whom are believed to be alive.

Negotiations mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States have not yet reached a definitive conclusion.
