The Israeli regime claims to have intercepted a Yemeni drone near occupied territories
According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli army claimed to have intercepted and shot down a drone belonging to the Yemeni armed forces that was moving from the Mediterranean Sea towards the central regions of the occupied territories.
The regime’s military announced in a statement: “A drone that took off from Yemen was shot down before entering Israeli airspace.”
Israeli radio also claimed that the drone was intercepted shortly before reaching its target and that there was no need to activate the alarm.
This claim comes at a time when the Yemeni armed forces led by the Ansar Allah Houthi movement have previously claimed responsibility for several drone and missile attacks on the occupied territories in support of the Palestinian people and in response to the war in Gaza.
However, no further details have been released by Yemeni sources or Al Jazeera about this specific event.
