The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned that half of the population of the Gaza Strip is facing acute hunger and that the region is on the brink of famine.
UNICEF also announced that the arrival of humanitarian aid to Gaza is nothing more than propaganda and that the current situation is extremely worrying.
According to reports, in the past 92 days, only 3,505 trucks carrying UN aid have entered Gaza, an average of 38 trucks per day.
This is while during the ceasefire period, this number reached up to 600 tankers per day.
UNICEF stressed that one in four children in Gaza suffers from acute malnutrition, the most serious and life-threatening stage of malnutrition for children.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip also announced that the number of victims of hunger and malnutrition has reached 313, of whom 119 are children.
