Health sources in the Gaza Strip reported on Thursday morning (21th of August) that at least 81 Palestinians have been martyred in the past 24 hours following attacks by Israeli forces on various areas of the region.
According to Al Jazeera, these attacks, which included aerial bombardment and shooting at civilians in various parts of Gaza, also resulted in the killing of 30 aid workers.
These sources also reported that hundreds of other people were injured.
These attacks come at a time when the international community has repeatedly warned of the escalation of violence and the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
This new wave of violence is a continuation of the Israeli military operation in Gaza, which began in October 2023 and has so far resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and injuries and widespread displacement of civilians.
Human rights organizations have considered these attacks to be war crimes and human rights violations and have called for their immediate cessation.
