Israeli warplanes bombard the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza
On Monday morning (18th of August), Israeli warplanes heavily bombed the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, one of the largest and oldest neighborhoods in Gaza City in the northern Gaza Strip.
According to published reports, these attacks, carried out using fighter jets and artillery, are still ongoing and have caused heavy damage to the residential infrastructure of the area.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Watch has announced that the Israeli regime is systematically destroying the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood and forcibly displacing its residents.
The organization reported that about 400 houses in this neighborhood have been destroyed since six days ago, and the bodies of civilians are still buried under the rubble.
Local sources and news networks such as Al Jazeera have reported that the intensity of the attacks has forced residents of the neighborhood to flee their homes.
Some sources reported the martyrdom of at least 50 people in the bombing of houses belonging to the Al-Dahdouh family near the Safad school, which was housing displaced people.
