Yemen sanctions 64 shipping companies for violating Israeli naval blockade

The Yemeni Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) affiliated with the Ansarullah movement announced on Wednesday (6th of August) that 64 shipping companies have been sanctioned for violating the naval blockade imposed on the Israeli regime.

According to Al-Masirah Network, these sanctions include a ban on the passage of these companies’ fleets through the Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea.

The coordination center emphasized that ships belonging to these companies, regardless of their destination, are considered legitimate targets for missile and drone attacks in any area to which the Yemeni armed forces have access.

The center also warned that punishment for companies that ignore previous warnings and continue to cooperate with occupied Palestinian ports will be pursued seriously.

This action is being taken within the framework of the fourth phase of Yemen’s naval blockade against Israel, which began on July 28, 2025, and aims to pressure the Zionist regime to stop the aggression and lift the blockade of Gaza.
