Armenia and the United States to hold joint exercises Partner Eagle 2025
The Armenian Ministry of Defense announced yesterday that a joint military exercise with the United States, titled “Eagle Partner 2025,” will be held in the country from August 12 to 20.
The exercise will focus on peacekeeping duties and medical evacuation procedures, with the aim of preparing for participation in international peacekeeping missions.
According to a statement from the Armenian Defense Ministry, the exercise will be held with the participation of the Armenian Army Peacekeeping Forces, the United States Army in Europe and Africa, and the Kansas National Guard.
The main goal of these exercises is to increase the level of cooperation and coordination between units in international peacekeeping missions, exchange experiences in the field of management and tactical communications, as well as improve the combat readiness of Armenian peacekeeping forces.
The exercise comes as Armenia’s relations with Russia, its traditional ally and member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), have soured in recent years due to disagreements over regional issues, including the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
