The International Conference on the Peaceful Resolution of the Palestinian Issue and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, concluded on Tuesday, 29th of July , at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
The conference, attended by foreign ministers and senior officials from various countries, emphasized the necessity of establishing an independent Palestinian state and ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
In his speech, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy called Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet’s opposition to the two-state solution a moral and strategic mistake and announced that Britain, given its historical responsibility in the establishment of the Zionist regime, intends to recognize the State of Palestine in September 2025.
Lamy expressed hope that the move would lead to a ceasefire in Gaza and called on Israel to stop settlement violence and annexation.
Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan also announced the adoption of the conference’s final document, which provides a practical framework for implementing the two-state solution.
