The European diplomatic delegation entered the Iranian consulate in Istanbul this morning (Friday, 25th of July 2025) to hold negotiations with the Iranian delegation.
This meeting, which is being held at the level of deputy foreign ministers, is the second round of talks between Iran and three European countries in this city.
According to media reports, the Iranian delegation, led by Majid Takht Ravanchi and Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Ministers of Iran, are present in these negotiations.
The main focus of these talks has been announced as the lifting of sanctions and issues related to Iran’s nuclear program.
Referring to these negotiations, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi emphasized yesterday that Iran will resolutely defend the rights of its people in the field of peaceful nuclear energy, especially enrichment.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman had previously announced that these talks would be held with the aim of clearly expressing Iran’s positions and focusing on lifting sanctions.
These talks are taking place while Iran emphasizes maintaining its positions in defense of its nuclear rights.
