According to Iranian media reports, the Nahid 2 communications satellite was successfully launched into space by the Soyuz launch vehicle from the Russian Vostochny Space Center.
This 110-kilogram satellite, built by researchers at the Space Research Organization and Institute of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Iran in cooperation with knowledge-based companies in the country, is considered an important step in the development of Iran’s indigenous space technologies.
Nahid-2 is designed to create telecommunications satellite systems in low (LEO) and high (GEO) orbits and will test advanced technologies such as Ku-band communications, three-axis attitude control, data management, and power distribution for the first time in orbit.
It is worth noting that this achievement is a significant advance in Iran’s space industry to strengthen satellite communication infrastructure.
