Thousands of people took to the streets in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, to protest the policies of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The demonstrations, which began in response to the signing of a controversial law to limit the independence of anti-corruption institutions, are the largest anti-government protests since the Russian invasion in February 2022, and have spread to other cities such as Lviv and Dnipro.
