25 countries, including Britain, France, Italy, Japan, Australia, and Canada, called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza in a joint statement.
These countries, citing the unprecedented suffering of civilians, called Israel’s actions in depriving the people of Gaza of basic aid unacceptable.
The statement condemned the dangerous methods of distributing aid that have led to the deaths of more than 800 Palestinians and rejected the plan to forcibly transfer Palestinians to the humanitarian city as a violation of international law.
The signatory countries called on Israel to immediately remove obstacles to the entry of aid and allow the United Nations to operate in Gaza.
