US President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Pakistan in September 2025, according to two Pakistani television channels.
If confirmed, the trip would be the first visit by a US president to Pakistan in nearly two decades; the last time George W. Bush visited the country was in 2006.
According to these networks, Trump will leave for India after visiting Islamabad.
The trip comes as US-Pakistan relations have recently strengthened with President Trump’s unprecedented meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir at the White House.
However, a spokesperson for the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said that he was not aware of this trip.
This event could be an important step towards strengthening bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
