According to informed sources, unknown gunmen in the Pakistani province of Balochistan kidnapped and murdered nine passengers of a bus in a horrific act.
The incident occurred in a restive region in southwestern Pakistan.
Local Pakistani officials announced that armed attackers stopped a passenger bus on a highway and, after checking the identities of the passengers, removed nine people, mostly from Punjab province, from the bus and shot them dead.
This targeted attack has once again raised concerns about insecurity in Balochistan province, and so far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti described the act as heinous and cowardly and promised that the perpetrators of this crime would be identified and punished.
