The vote on the political resolution of the Organization’s Board of Governors against Iran, which was drafted on Wednesday (June 12) at the proposal of the United States, Britain, France, and Germany, will be held today, Thursday.
In this regard, the Wall Street Journal reported that the meeting to review the proposed resolution against Iran will continue today at 9:30 Central European Time, so there was no vote last night.
The vote on the anti-Iranian resolution was postponed while earlier, Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Minister of Legal and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, told reporters on Wednesday evening that Iran had anticipated the necessary measures in response to a possible resolution of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, which is definitely political and will most likely be approved without consensus.
Gharibabadi added that the necessary decisions in this regard have been taken within the system’s structure, and immediately after the approval of such a resolution, these measures will be implemented in the technical field.
