Iran’s nuclear program; the focus of Trump and Netanyahu’s discussion

According to the Kan news agency, US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the next steps regarding Iran’s nuclear program in a 40-minute phone conversation.

According to security sources, Israel cannot allow Iran to maintain the ability to enrich uranium on its soil.

Kahn notes that if the negotiations fail, Israel will have to decide on a possible attack on Iran.

Iran has reportedly made a counter-offer to the United States, pledging to limit domestic uranium enrichment for civilian use to 3.67 percent in exchange for the complete destruction of Israel’s nuclear arsenal and a commitment to a nuclear-weapon-free Middle East.
