Leader of Yemeni al-Qaeda branch threatens Trump and Musk with death

The leader of the Yemeni branch of Al-Qaeda has criticized US President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk for Washington’s support for the ongoing Israeli war against the Gaza Strip.

In a half-hour video message released online on Saturday by supporters of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), the group’s Yemeni branch, Saad bin Atef al-Awlaki said there were no red lines after what the people of Gaza had gone through and are going through.

Al-Awali added: “Retaliation is completely legitimate for all these crimes.”

Al-Awlaki’s video message also included calls for lone wolves to assassinate the leaders of Egypt, Jordan and Gulf Arab states over the war that has devastated Gaza and killed at least 54,772 Palestinians over the past 20 months.
